Dr. Adnan Çoban was born in 1968 and graduated from the prestigious Cerrahpasa Medical school. While he was in college he continued and developed his study of music and he has since used his two passions (music and medicine) together in order to help numerous patients suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction and schizophrenia. He has also been internationally acknowledged for his research in electro-psychology, which extensively explored the way that music affects the brain and how the brain interacts with it. In addition to practicing medicine, Adnan Çoban appears on television regularly on the State TV Foundation. He also founded TUTEM (Research and Application Group of Treatment using Turkish Music). And he continues to develop projects for scientifically applying the treatment with music in Turkey, and works closely with renowned psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan.
